Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: CB Paper Sacks Bangor, 15 Balloo Drive, BT19 7QYSalary: £40,000 £44,000 DOE
We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a busy and well-established paper sack manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability, supporting production, and contributing to ongoing projects. Electrical experience would be advantageous, but is not essential – we welcome applications from qualified Engineers with a broad range of maintenance backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the maintenance team, your main duties will include:
- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across site machinery and equipment
- Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and equipment failures
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to minimise downtime
- Supporting both in-house and external engineering projects
- Liaising with and supervising external contractors when required
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and site standards
Required Criteria
- To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong electrical maintenance background with multi-skilled capability
- Experience working with PLCs (fault finding and diagnostics)
- Knowledge of VSD/VFD systems
- Understanding of control and automation systems
- A recognised technical qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
