EHCP Assistant – Wokingham

Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain practical experience supporting children and young people with additional needs?

A specialist SEN school in Wokingham is seeking a dedicated and compassionate EHCP Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapists, or Teachers.

As an EHCP Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to students’ individual EHCP outcomes and needs.
  • Help students develop confidence, independence, communication, and active participation in learning.
  • Support the implementation of individual learning, behaviour, and wellbeing strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Observe and monitor students’ progress, wellbeing, engagement, and development.

We’re looking for an EHCP Assistant who is:

  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young people.
  • A confident communicator with a genuine passion for working within SEN.
  • Interested in gaining practical experience before pursuing a career in psychology, education, therapy, or a related field.
  • Able to build strong, positive relationships with students, teachers, and colleagues.
  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn about individual student needs and EHCP provision.

Job Details

  • Setting: Specialist SEN School
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Pay: 93-110 per day
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Contract: Full-time
