Overview:

This highly-regarded, long-established business is a leader in their field with a strong reputation for quality and excellent customer service backed by an excellent fulfilment and distribution operation from their on site warehousing facility.

As they continue to grow, they have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join them. This is a particularly exciting time to be joining the business as they embark on a warehouse relocation project so you will play a key role in site optimisation, workflow and layout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day running of the warehouse operation, this will include small-scale production / finishing activities.
  • Deploy warehouse resources effectively, implement clear procedures and drive performance through targeted KPIs with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee incoming goods, storage, processing and dispatch operations.
  • Manage stock accuracy, stock turn and aged stock.
  • Lead, recruit and mentor the warehouse team.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the warehouse relocation project, optimising the new site layout for space, productivity and safety.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Director on process reviews, efficiency recommendations and cost optimisation.

Person Specification:

  • A proven warehousing professional with experience in managing a warehousing or distribution operation. This may have included some element of production.
  • Possess a strong background in logistics, inventory control and stock management systems.
  • Be experienced leading a team with a hands-on, lead by example management style.
  • Ideally, experience in managing projects, this may include warehouse site relocations or site layout change projects.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
