For the right individual, this role offers a genuine pathway towards Management Accountant and beyond.
Your new role Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will support the finance team across a range of accounting responsibilities while developing your management accounting skills.Key duties will include:Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accountsBalance sheet reconciliationsAccruals and prepaymentsFixed asset accountingSupporting budgeting and forecasting activitiesMaintaining accurate financial records and ledgersAssisting with month-end and year-end processesVAT returns and other statutory reporting requirementsProducing reports and analysis for stakeholdersSupporting continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
What you’ll need to succeedAAT qualified or actively studying towards ACCA or CIMAPrevious experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance roleStrong understanding of core accounting principlesGood Excel skills and attention to detailPositive and proactive approach to workStrong communication and organisational skillsA genuine desire to learn, develop and progress your finance career
