Warehouse Operative

Job Title: Warehouse Operative Location: Gosport, Hampshire Pay Rate: 20.00 – 25.00 / hour Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, No shifts) Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Summary The Warehouse Operative supports day-to-day warehouse operations for the UK Chinook Program in Gosport. You will oversee the safe, accurate receiving, storing, inventory control, and dispatch of parts, tools, and materials. Key Responsibilities

• Goods In/Out: Receive, inspect, store, pick, pack, and dispatch items according to schedules and work orders.
• Inventory Control: Conduct cycle counts, maintain stock location accuracy, and record inventory using standard management systems.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with procurement, planning, and logistics to resolve discrepancies, shortages, or urgent requirements.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all site safety, environmental, and security procedures while identifying damaged or non-conforming items.
• Material Handling: Operate handling equipment (if trained/certified) to transport stock efficiently across the site.

• Attention to Detail: Critical for accurate picking, packing, labeling, and checking orders to eliminate errors.
• Physical Fitness & Stamina: Ability to comfortably handle lifting, standing, walking, and manual handling throughout the day.
• Teamwork & Communication: Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with co-workers, Team Leads, and transport drivers.

Experience & Requirements

• Previous background in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office or inventory systems like SAP).
• Right to work in the UK and eligibility without sponsorship required.
• Forklift certification or aerospace/defence industry experience is desirable but not essential.
