Finance Manager | Newly Qualified Accountant | £60,000–£70,000+ | Central London
Are you a newly qualified and ready to make the move from practice into a role where you can genuinely make an impact?
I’m working with a specialist financial services organisation in Central London that is looking for a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA to join their finance team.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your first few years simply ticking boxes. You’ll get broad, hands-on exposure across a multi-entity finance function, with the opportunity to take ownership, challenge existing processes and help shape how things are done.
What you’ll be involved in:
- Preparing journals and reconciliations as part of the monthly close across multiple Group entities
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, with variance analysis for Board reporting
- Getting hands-on with Group consolidation, intercompany schedules and elimination entries under IFRS
- Working across treasury and tax, giving you exposure well beyond the typical newly qualified remit
- Playing a key role in automating and improving close, reconciliation and reporting processes
- Identifying opportunities to improve the way the finance function operates and actually having the autonomy to implement them
Who I’m looking for:
You’ll be a recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, ideally with:
- Practice training from a Top 10–20 firm, preferably with Financial Services or Property audit experience
- Or 1–2 years’ industry experience, ideally within Financial Services
- Strong technical accounting fundamentals and an appetite to broaden your commercial exposure
- A naturally curious, analytical mindset
- The confidence to ask “why do we do it this way?” rather than simply accepting the status quo
- A genuine interest in improving processes, systems and reporting
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who wants real breadth, real responsibility and the opportunity to make a difference.
If you’re newly qualified and looking for a role that will give you exposure well beyond the usual Finance Manager remit, I’d love to hear from you.
The offer
- Salary: £60,000–£75,000, with flexibility for the right candidate plus generous bonus
- Holiday: 25 days + Christmas office closure + a birthday/wellbeing day (around 30 days total)
- Benefits: Pension, health cover, and Simply Health after a 3-month probation
- Working pattern: In-office Monday–Thursday this is a genuinely collaborative team environment where visibility and in-person working matter
- Progression: Direct exposure to senior finance leadership, with a clear route to grow beyond this role as you build your track record
