Senior Construction Manager - Data Centres - Client Side

I am currently recruiting a client-side Senior Construction Manager to lead and coordinate a new hyperscale data centre campus in Oxfordshire. The scope of this role is to represent the owner throughout the full preconstruction and build process ensuring accurate alignment between schedule, budget and end objective across CSA and MEP disciplines.

This client is widely known worldwide and is as an AI pioneer in the mission critical industry, boasting a very healthy pipeline for the next ten years in the UK market.

In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous, and must be confident leading £400m+ projects, managing general contractor progress, coordinating design and logistics. Project delivery ability, proven track record, knowledge of CSA and M&E packages experience is key.

Construction Manager Responsibilities:

• Regular meetings with the production team and ensuring all technical issues are addressed immediately
• Manage and coordinate design management across MEP and CSA delivery
• Prepare technical specifications
• Liaise with key personnel within the project team in preparation of project costing and design works
• Control the design process, from planning application through to project completion
• Support Procurement and contractor interaction
• Develop Design Management Plan in accordance company standards
• Manage and review the design development process ensuring value engineering and buildability are considered
• Ensure local building regulations and standards are being adhered to by contractors.
• Review design development to allow construction of works to follow safe working practices

Construction Manager Background:

• Over five years’ experience as a senior management role with a client, consultancy or main contractor
• CSA and MEP expertise is essential
• History of completing projects on time and budget
• Data Centre expertise very desirable
• A degree in Architecture or Engineering or Construction Management
