At Jewish Care, we support people to live independently, with dignity and connection at the heart of everything we do. Our Retirement Living services offer a vibrant, supportive community where tenants can enjoy their independence, knowing care and support are there when needed.
This isn’t a typical care role.
As a Care & Support Worker, you’ll support tenants living in their own flats—helping them stay independent, connected, and in control of their lives. From practical support to companionship, you’ll build meaningful relationships and play a key role in creating a strong community.
This role is based on an average of 37.5 hours per week, worked across a two-week rolling rota. Night shifts run from 9:00pm to 7:00am.
The shift pattern is as follows:
Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Friday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
There is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1974, for the postholder to be female.
Experience in care is helpful but not essential—we provide full training.
For many of our tenants, you’re the person who helps them stay independent, feel safe, and remain connected to their community. Your support helps them continue living life on their terms.
