Role Available: SEND Learning Support Assistant – Havering

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can support young people with additional needs and make a real difference in their lives?

Protocol Education is currently recruiting a SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Havering. This full-time position involves supporting pupils with a range of needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD, and PMLD. You will help students engage with learning, develop independence, and feel safe, included, and supported throughout the school day.

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds such as healthcare, social care, residential support, or those with personal experience supporting individuals with SEND. Previous school-based experience is not essential, as the school values empathy, reliability, and a proactive attitude. You should also be comfortable supporting with personal care when required.

Role Details: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Long-term role with potential to become permanent Based in Havering

Ideal Candidate: Able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils Patient, calm, and adaptable in approach Confident supporting children with complex additional needs Works well as part of a supportive team

Training such as Manual Handling, Hoist Training, First Aid, or other care-related qualifications is advantageous but not essential.
