Role Overview
We are seeking a Permanent Nursery Manager for a brand‑new nursery in Luton. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a fresh setting from the ground up, shaping its culture, systems, and learning environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in the nursery setup phase and ongoing development, managing staff, operations, and delivering high-quality early years education.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and manage a team of nursery staff to deliver outstanding childcare and educationOversee the launch and development of the new nursery setting, ensuring smooth operationsDevelop and implement policies, procedures, and day-to-day routines in line with EYFS standardsPlan, monitor, and evaluate educational programmes and activitiesMaintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment for children and familiesRecruit, mentor, and support nursery staff to deliver high standards of care and learningEngage with parents and the local community to build strong partnerships
Required Skills & Experience
Proven nursery management experience in early years settingsStrong understanding of EYFS and Ofsted requirementsExperience in staff leadership, recruitment, and trainingAbility to set up systems, policies, and procedures for a new settingExcellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skillsEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
