Hospital Director – Private Hospital | Redditch

£65,000 – £75,000 (DOE) Redditch Full-Time | Permanent

Trusted Talent are recruiting for an experienced Hospital Director to lead a high-performing private hospital in Redditch. This Hospital Director role is ideal for an established healthcare leader with experience in private healthcare, elective surgery, and hospital operations.

As Hospital Director, you will take full accountability for clinical governance, operational performance, financial management, and regulatory compliance, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities – Hospital Director

As Hospital Director, you will:

  • Provide senior leadership across clinical and non-clinical teams (nursing, theatre, admin, support services)
  • Oversee elective surgical services, including Theatre, TTO, and Orthopaedics
  • Lead clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement frameworks
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, fundamental standards, and inspection readiness
  • Maintain oversight of policies, SOPs and audit programmes
  • Drive operational performance, including KPIs, SLAs, and service delivery targets
  • Manage budgeting, P&L responsibility, cost control, and financial performance
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and staff development
  • Ensure a high-quality patient pathway and positive patient outcomes
  • Build relationships with consultants, commissioners, and external stakeholders
  • Support business development, service expansion, and contract management

Skills & Experience – Hospital Director

To succeed as Hospital Director, you will have:

  • Experience in a Hospital Director, Hospital Manager, or Healthcare Operations Director role
  • Background in private healthcare, independent hospitals, or elective care settings
  • Strong knowledge of CQC compliance, clinical governance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with clinical audits, incident reporting, and risk assessment processes
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, P&L, and financial planning
  • Understanding of NHS contracts, commissioning, or private medical insurance pathways
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong knowledge of Theatre operations and Orthopaedic services
  • Demonstrable experience improving patient outcomes, efficiency, and service quality
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
