A brand-new psychological therapy role within older adult community mental health services, offering strong supervision, professional networks and the opportunity to shape developing neighbourhood teams.
Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to join our Older Adult Community Mental Health Team covering Hastings and Rother. This newly created post will work alongside a recently appointed Clinical Psychologist within the developing Neighbourhood Mental Health Team model.
About the role
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions for older adults experiencing mental health difficulties. The role includes consultation to colleagues, cognitive and psychological assessments, delivery of short-term individual and group interventions, and contributing to psychologically informed approaches across the service. You will benefit from close working relationships with other psychologists in the locality and strong professional supervision and support.

About you
You will be a qualified Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist with experience delivering assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions across a range of clinical presentations. You will bring strong analytical and communication skills, confidence working autonomously within a multidisciplinary setting, and an interest in older adult mental health. Professional registration and commitment to ongoing professional development will be essential.
Location: St Anne’s Centre / Conquest Hospital, covering Hastings & Rother
