Location: Horwich
Job Description:

Absolute Nexa is entering an exciting new phase of growth, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Project Manager to strengthen our digital delivery capability.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Digital, this hands‑on role is responsible for delivering complex, multi‑disciplinary digital projects to an exceptional standard. You will help ensure that Absolute Nexa’s digital build offering operates efficiently, commercially and to best‑in‑class quality, while supporting the continued evolution of our proprietary CMS, Absolute Control, alongside platforms including TerminalFour, Craft CMS and Shopify.

As we scale, you will maintain delivery excellence, refine processes and support our wider digital growth strategy. You will work closely with the Head of Digital and collaborate across client services, strategy, creative, UX and development, acting as the central point of coordination across projects and ensuring clarity, structure and accountability throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Ownership & Delivery – End‑to‑End Delivery

Lead the delivery of large, multi‑faceted website and digital platform projects — from discovery and strategic planning through to build, launch and optimisation.

  • Commercial Management

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget, maintaining strong commercial control and protecting profitability.

  • Risk & Governance

Proactively monitor progress, identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to maintain quality and momentum.

    • Produce clear and comprehensive documentation including specifications, Statements of Work and Project Initiation Documents (PIDs).
    • Manage scope, timelines, budgets, resourcing plans and dependencies.
    • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process Development

Contribute to the ongoing refinement of our delivery methodologies, helping to enhance efficiency, scalability and consistency.

  • Cross‑Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with creative, UX and development teams to plan and prioritise work effectively.
    • Ensure strong communication across internal stakeholders and client teams.
    • Support the Head of Digital in embedding delivery best practice and governance standards.
  • Client Partnership
    • Act as a trusted day‑to‑day digital lead for clients.
    • Provide clear advice on technical feasibility, timelines and delivery approaches.
    • Support new business pitches and proposals by shaping robust digital solutions.
  • Product & Platform Support
    • Support the Head of Digital in shaping and executing the roadmap for Absolute Control.
    • Assist in prioritising platform enhancements in line with client needs and commercial objectives.
    • Ensure structured release planning and well‑managed deployments.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in a digital agency or digital delivery environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex website and digital platform projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing substantial budgets and delivery KPIs.
  • Confident managing competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of modern web technologies and CMS platforms.
  • Experience with platforms such as TerminalFour, Craft CMS, Shopify or similar.
  • Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Experience using project and development tools such as Jira, Figma, Synergist, Trello, Slack or similar.
  • Strong resource planning and budget management capability.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Why Join Absolute Nexa?

  • Studio Environment

A collaborative studio with communal spaces, dedicated project rooms and access to a photography studio, alongside recreational facilities.

  • Team Connection

Regular team lunches, social events and opportunities to connect beyond day‑to‑day work.

  • Health & Wellbeing

In‑house gym, studio mountain bikes, fresh fruit each week and access to mental wellbeing support.

  • Learning & Development

A personal development budget for training, professional courses and industry events.

  • Time Off

A generous holiday allowance, plus your birthday off each year.

You will be a confident communicator who can translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders, adapt to shifting priorities and bring structure to complex delivery environments. Just as importantly, you will bring a collaborative mindset and positive energy — someone who enjoys working across teams and raising standards collectively.
