Cathie is a global offshore engineering consultancy, delivering geoscience, geotechnical and geospatial solutions to offshore renewable energy and infrastructure projects. We support clients throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept to operation, with teams based across the UK, Europe and the US.
About the Position
This is a dual-role opportunity combining QHSE coordination and offshore operations support. You’ll split your time between improving and maintaining the Cathie Group’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and coordinating the deployment of offshore client representatives.
Working closely with the Group QHSE Manager and regional teams, you’ll support the consistent application of our QHSE standards and help ensure safe and efficient offshore operations.
This role could suit someone with experience in either QHSE or offshore logistics who’s looking for a new opportunity. If you don’t already have a NEBOSH diploma, we’ll fully fund and support you to gain this well-regarded advanced health and safety qualification. Based at our Newcastle head office, the role is hybrid, with flexibility to work from home part of the week. There may be some occasional travel to other Cathie locations. While most of the work is during standard office hours, there’s an allowance for occasional out-of-hours coordination when needed.
You Will:
- Maintain and improve the QHSE Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Support H&S audits, compliance checks and internal training
- Coordinate the mobilisation and onboarding of offshore client representatives
- Prepare compliance documentation such as risk assessments and inductions
- Act as liaison between offshore personnel, clients, and internal teams
- Help embed a positive and proactive QHSE culture across the Group
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
- A confident and proactive approach to working with different teams
Nice to Have
- Experience in QHSE or offshore personnel coordination
- Understanding of offshore industry regulations and documentation
- Knowledge of GDPR and document control systems
