Sherwood Roofing Contractors Ltd are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our growing team. We are an established roofing contractor based in Heathfield, delivering reactive and planned roofing works for housing associations, councils, schools and other public sector organisations across East Sussex, Kent, Surrey and London.
This role involves managing a mixture of reactive repair works and larger planned roofing projects. The position is split between site visits and office based work at our Heathfield office.
You will be responsible for managing multiple projects at once, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Full time employed or self employed basis.
Responsibilities
- Managing roofing projects from initial instruction through to completion
- Carrying out site visits and inspections
- Planning labour and organising materials
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring progress of works and ensuring deadlines are met
- Ensuring health and safety standards are followed on site
- Providing updates, reports and job information to the office team
Requirements
- Previous experience managing roofing or construction projects
- Good knowledge of roofing systems and repair works
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working both on site and in an office environment
