Solutions Architect

• Shape and influence technology strategy by collaborating with business teams and senior leadership to understand requirements and align on technical solutions.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders across aligned directorates, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic solution partner.
• Provide expert recommendations to maximise the value of technology investments through effective implementation, accessibility, and utilisation.
• Take overall responsibility for solution design and governance across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and the Power Platform, ensuring alignment across the organisation.
• Lead technical design authority, resolving complex design challenges and ensuring adherence to architectural principles and standards.
• Secure approval of technical designs through the Architecture Review Board.
• Drive the design and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions and technology roadmaps across multiple domains.
• Develop roadmaps that enable incremental delivery of value and continuous improvement of the technology landscape.
• Conduct architecture assessments of the current environment to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, and provide actionable remediation recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a STEM-related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, and Power Platform.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, architecture, and platform capabilities.
• Ability to navigate and operate effectively within complex organisational and partner environments.Experience integrating on-premises systems with cloud-based SaaS solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.
• Experience engaging with business solution vendors and technology providers, ideally within the energy sector.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Proven experience in a Senior Architect (or similar) role within a large-scale IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate.
• Experience leading technical design reviews and governing approval processes for solution implementation.
