Statutory Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager – ISS

We are now looking to appoint a Statutory Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to play a key role within our finance function. This is a high-impact position responsible for delivering high-quality statutory reporting across multiple entities, while providing technical accounting expertise and supporting the business through regulatory change.
The Role
You will take ownership of statutory financial reporting processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all entities. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will provide technical accounting guidance to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, supporting business decisions and ensuring alignment with current standards and best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements and annual reports
- Providing technical accounting advice to internal stakeholders and acting as a key contact for external auditors
- Preparing and reviewing accounting papers to support complex accounting treatments
- Supporting month-end close activities, including IFRS 16 lease accounting, pensions, fixed assets, and provisions
- Interpreting and implementing new accounting standards and regulatory changes
- Identifying and managing financial risks, ensuring robust controls and compliance
- Driving improvements in reporting processes and accounting policies
About You
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with strong technical accounting and audit experience, ideally gained within a complex, multi-entity environment. You bring a deep understanding of reporting standards, combined with the ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into practical business outcomes.
You will also demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing statutory reporting and engaging with auditors
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders across the business
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and change
