We’re now looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to take ownership of some of our largest and most high‑profile corporate accounts, playing a critical role in driving growth, retention and long-term partnerships across our client portfolio. This is a high-profile role where you will work closely with senior internal and external stakeholders, influencing strategy, shaping commercial outcomes and delivering best-in-class service.What You’ll DoAs a Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of your accounts, balancing commercial performance with service excellence. You’ll lead complex contract negotiations, oversee service delivery, identify growth opportunities and act as a trusted partner to your clients.Please note the successful candidate will be travelling to the Barnsley hub on a regular basis so this must be commutable. Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the management, retention and growth of Evri’s largest and most high-profile client portfolios Manage the full end-to-end customer lifecycle, including contract management, rate negotiations and volume growth Identify and capitalise on opportunities to enhance margins and service performance Lead up-sell and cross-sell activity across Evri’s products and services Maintain and manage client cash flow and commercial performance Partner with Operational teams to design and deliver service improvement and recovery plans Analyse data and customer insight to drive change and continuous improvement Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders and client-side directors Share technical knowledge and coach junior colleagues, helping to develop wider team capabilityWhat We’re Looking For Significant experience (circa 5+ years) in senior key account management, business development or account director roles Strong commercial awareness, ideally within parcels, logistics or postal sectors Proven experience managing high-value contracts and complex negotiations Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior and director level Strong negotiation, financial and analytical capability, with confidence working with large data sets Ability to matrix-manage and lead extended virtual account teams Confident communicator, able to present complex information clearly in reports and presentations Full UK driving licence (role involves regular travel and flexible working hours) Degree-level education desirable but not essential Sales or key account management qualification advantageousWhat We Can Offer YouWe’re proud to offer a workplace where everyone can thrive, including: At least 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) Competitive benefits package including retailer discounts, insurance and healthcare Career progression opportunities across the Evri Group Bonus schemes (grade dependent) 50% discount on sending parcels through Evri Cycle to Work scheme Free digital GP service for colleagues and their families Employee Assistance Programme with free counsellingWe Are Evri — Where Everyone Is WelcomeAt Evri Premium, we grow when our people do.
