Role Overview
As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will take ownership of the design, engineering, and delivery ofhigh‑voltage electrical projectsfrom11kV to 132kV. Acting as a technical and delivery leader, you will manage projects from early development through to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and commercial objectives are met.
This role is based in Bristol, supporting projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams, engage with clients, and ensure technical excellence throughout delivery
- Oversee Health & Safety compliance in line with Powersystems’ PriorityNo.1: Health, Safety & Well-being
- Manage project budgets, procurement activities, programmes, and reporting
- Mentor and support Project Engineers, fostering technical and professional development
- Interface with key stakeholders including DNOs, the TSO, suppliers, and client contractors.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years’ experience within HV or Electrical Engineering project environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and commercial awareness
- Proven experience managing project budgets, supply chains, and contractors
- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering(HV systems preferred)
- Full UK driving licence & Right to Work in the UK
- Chartered or working towards IEng/CEng (IET)
- Renewable energy, energy storage, or grid infrastructure project experience
- Experience delivering HV substations or grid connection works
- Strong understanding of utility and network operator requirements
