PK Education are seeking an experienced, resilient, and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join the leadership team of a SEN school in Newcastle. About the Role
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school s culture, driving improvements in behaviour, attendance, and inclusion, and supporting the Headteacher in leading the school through continued development and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on behaviour, culture, and attendance strategies to improve student outcomes
- Support the Headteacher with the strategic leadership and day-to-day running of the school
- Provide visible, consistent leadership, modelling high expectations for staff and students
- Lead, motivate, and develop staff working in challenging classroom and pastoral settings
- Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions
- Work collaboratively with external agencies to support vulnerable students
- Promote and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

- Proven leadership experience within a challenging or high-need school setting
- Strong expertise in behaviour management, safeguarding, and inclusion
- Resilient, calm under pressure, and solution-focused
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and staff development skills
- Committed to raising standards and delivering measurable improvements
- Passionate about supporting both staff and students to achieve their full potential
