Overview

Assistant Events Operations Manager – Location: Ascot. Salary: £36,000 + £3,000 – £4,000 service charge. Hours: 40 hours – 5 days out of 7.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Events Operations Manager to support the smooth running of Events and In-Room Dining operations. You will lead, coach and inspire a team to deliver exceptional, personalised service across a range of guest experiences, from private dining to large-scale events.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day management of Events & In-Room Dining operations
  • Lead, train and motivate the team to deliver 5-star service standards
  • Oversee event set-up and ensure all spaces meet client specifications
  • Drive guest satisfaction by monitoring service quality and acting on feedback
  • Manage staffing levels, rotas, and daily briefings
  • Control stock, costs, payroll, and departmental expenses
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation
  • Collaborate with Events, Sales, and Culinary teams
  • Support team development through training, coaching, and performance reviews

About You / Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel or luxury environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Good food & beverage knowledge
  • Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
