Facilities Project Engineer

Overview

PE Global is recruiting for a Facilities Project Engineer for a leading multi-national manufacturing client based in Stafford. This is a 6 month contract position working fully on site in Stafford. Working hours are Monday – Thursday 6:45 am to 4:30 pm, with some flexibility for weekends and out of hours work when required. Pay rate is £22.06ph PAYE or £29.94ph Umbrella.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of facility building projects ensuring deadlines, budget and quality are met.
• Delivery of facility building systems projects.
• Report project status at key milestones to facility and business stakeholders.
• Support and contribute to safety targets, revenue costs, quality, and performance.
• Develop clear project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates aligned with business and operational requirements.
• Ensure project documentation is complete (scope, drawings, permits, RAMS).
• Support procurement activities, including contractor selection and technical evaluations.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Lead final inspections, snag lists, commissioning, and handover to operations.

Education/Experience

• Engineering, civils and construction industry experience is preferred.
• Experience in a similar position with delivery of facility building projects.
• Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
• Understanding of risk and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills.
• IOSH Managing Safety certification is advantageous.
• IPAF MEWP For Managers is advantageous.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.
