Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position in London for a Public Health Lecturer. The role involves designing and delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops in public health topics for a diverse group of students. Responsibilities include developing course materials, mentoring students, conducting research, and staying updated with industry developments to ensure teaching aligns with current public health practices. The lecturer will also participate in curriculum development and contribute to academic projects, community outreach initiatives, or other university activities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MSc) in Public Health, Community Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field – Essential
- PhD or EdD in Public Health or a relevant discipline – Desirable
- Higher Education teaching qualification (PGCert, SFHEA, AFHEA, or FHEA)
- Relevant professional registration or membership related to public health or community work
- Minimum of three years’ experience in teaching, training, or professional practice in public health or community settings in the UK
- Experience of teaching in Higher Education
- Experience delivering applied or real-world public health projects
- Experience of module leadership and academic administration
- Ability to use reflective practice in teaching
- Skills in using online learning platforms such as Moodle or Canvas
- Knowledge of assessment methods and providing effective feedback
