PaymentGenes Recruitment is working with a client in the payments and FinTech industry who are looking to hire an experienced Finance Analyst – Treasury & Card Schemes, to support the growth of their card issuing, BIN sponsorship, and embedded finance proposition.

This is a pivotal role within a fast‑scaling business, offering excellent exposure to card schemes, treasury operations, and senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑end ownership of financial operations across card services, including data feeds, fund movements, reconciliation, and settlement
  • Daily reconciliation with processors and card schemes, including treasury movements
  • Treasury management of scheme funds based on reporting from schemes and processors
  • Monitor and validate scheme billing charges, analysing trends and forecasting future costs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and card scheme reporting obligations
  • Partner with Risk and Compliance to identify, manage, and mitigate operational risks
  • Work closely with internal teams (Scheme Management, BIN Sponsorship, Operations, Product, Tech) and external partners and suppliers

About You

  • Qualified Accountant with minimum 2 years PQE, ideally from FinTech or financial services
  • Strong experience reconciling client or safeguarded funds in a regulated environment (banking, payments, lending, asset management)
  • Experience with card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) highly desirable
  • Familiarity with reconciliation tools such as Kani Payments or similar is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, scaling FinTech environment
  • Hands‑on, adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
