Project Manager (Automotive) | Programme Delivery | Hybrid Working | 12 month contract
We’re looking for a couple of experienced Project Managers with a strong background in the automotive or complex manufacturing sector to help delivery of a various new programmes of work across multiple business and technical workstreams.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering cross-functional projects that directly impact vehicle programmes, operational performance, and business transformation.
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days onsite (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Salary – £33 an hour
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of a structured programme of work, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to coordinate delivery across a complex automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a multi-workstream automotive programme
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and governance structures
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement
- Ensure alignment with programme objectives and business priorities
- Provide clear reporting, status updates, and escalation management to senior stakeholders
- Drive delivery in a fast-paced, production-aware environment
- Support continuous improvement and process optimisation across project delivery
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident and delivery-focused Project Manager with:
- Proven experience in automotive or complex manufacturing environments
- Strong track record of delivering cross-functional programmes of work
- Excellent stakeholder management across technical and business teams
- Ability to manage multiple dependencies in a fast-moving environment
- Strong governance, planning, and reporting capability
- Experience working in matrix organisations
- Understanding of vehicle development lifecycle or manufacturing programmes (desirable)
