Overview
Equans is looking for a Project Manager to join our team on our contract with Bristol and Oxford LIFT on a permanent basis. You will be based predominantly in Bristol and Oxford but there may be travel to Dudley on occasion.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle, bonus and benefits package.
Responsibilities
- The Project Manager is a regional role covering Bristol, Oxford & Dudley LIFT contracts, providing both a technical lead around asset management and Project delivery of each Lifecycle plan and variations
- Leading on key technical disciplines related to Building infrastructure, Mechanical & Electrical systems in healthcare premises
- Proactively engaging with internal teams and FM suppliers to identify assets that fall short of contractual maintenance and assets that need replacement within the 5-year lifecycle plan
- Providing technical support on lifecycle works and variations, ensuring scope reflects best industry practice, regulations, BS standards, SFG20 and HBNs guidance
- Supporting a culture of responsive monitoring by working with the third-party FM supplier and managing notifications, with day-to-day lead on step-ins and collaboration with Commercial or Central Lifecycle Teams
- Maintaining a transparent process and central document system to oversee delivery of subject matters
- Technical Lead on projects and input into scope of works documents
- Controlling obsolescence through supplier feedback and Manufacturer engagement
- Manage stakeholder relationships on PFI/LIFT contracts and oversee assets across building fabric, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of processes and quality assurance requirements relevant to the role
- Excellent knowledge of building fabric and M&E disciplines across healthcare, local government and education sectors
- Understanding of DoH, Regulatory and Legislative issues
- Time-served technical background in electrical, mechanical or building discipline
- Commercial and financial awareness with budgetary control experience
- HNC or equivalent in engineering (or equivalent)
- Accredited to NEBOSH or IOSH and hold SMSTS
- Understanding of ISO 15001
- Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation
- Project management methodology
- Able to travel to meet role needs and hold a valid driving licence
- Degree level (Desirable)
- Asset Management Diploma (Desirable)
- Experience in complex operational PPP/PFI contracts (Desirable)
- Knowledge of PFI contract structure related to lifecycle requirements (Desirable)
- Incorporated Engineer registration (Desirable)
