Job Description
Role: Software Engineer (Full Stack)
Locations: Glasgow / Edinburgh (must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis).
Please note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory SC security clearance which requires 5 years continuous UK address history, typically including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK.
Responsibilities
We typically work hand‑in‑hand with our clients to build great digital products for them and for their customers. To do this, we need experienced, capable engineers who can both deploy their own mastery to get things done hands‑on and successfully lead others in doing so.
This role often involves leading client accounts holistically – people, delivery, quality, and commercials. You will also keep the big picture in mind and help our clients best use the capability and flexibility of a consultancy partner to reach their goals sooner.
Beyond client work, you will be an essential contributor to our internal and regional engineering communities, sharing your knowledge, shaping conversations around technology, and learning from colleagues in diverse problem spaces.
Qualifications
- Solid full‑stack engineering experience (not purely front end or back end), working across the full development lifecycle.
- Core technology experience includes React and Java.
- Hands‑on cloud experience, designing and delivering solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
- Enjoy collaborating in an open, egoless way and are adaptable, comfortable with change, and motivated to keep learning to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
Set Yourself Apart
- Proven ability to apply analytical and creative thought and translate it into technical solutions.
- Proven ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience building datastore solutions on at least one No‑SQL (Elasticsearch).
Benefits
In addition to a competitive basic salary, you will have an extensive benefits package that includes 30 days’ vacation per year, private medical insurance and 3 extra days leave per year for charitable work of your choice.
Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver this role as there will be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients and partners.
