Help fix customer-centricity at scale

Every company wants to become more customer-centric. At TheyDo, we make that ambition real. Our AI-powered journey management platform helps the world’s largest enterprises align around what matters most: their customers. By bringing scattered data and teams together, we empower smarter decisions and better experiences. Since 2019, global leaders across industries — including Ford, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson, Siemens, Home Depot, and Lufthansa — have trusted us to scale journey management and deliver measurable impact.

Backed by $50M from top-tier investors, including Blossom and 20VC, we are building a category-defining company. Our fully remote team represents 30+ nationalities across 27 countries, united by a customer-led, people-first culture.

Our mission is clear: Make journey management the most powerful business tool in the world.

If you’re looking for a place where your work shapes the future of how companies operate, join us. Let’s build it together.

What You’ll Do

Your top priority is ensuring our engineers can deploy with confidence. You will take the lead in setting up our automated test suites, leveraging AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality standards. You’re a pragmatic perfectionist who defines our bar for quality but knows how to deliver at speed, using AI as a force multiplier rather than a replacement for engineering judgment. You will continuously shape and improve the QA processes and culture at TheyDo to prepare it for scale.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining our test automation codebases using AI-powered tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms to accelerate development while ensuring code quality through strong engineering fundamentals
  • Supporting engineers across teams with their testing needs, coaching them on testing best practices, AI-assisted test development, and quality standards
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive testing strategy for all of our products; managing implementation and usage of tooling, determining how we setup acceptance criteria, and enabling teams to write effective tests
  • Owning our CI/CD quality gates in GitHub Actions – ensuring automated tests run reliably in our pipeline and continuously improving test execution speed and stability
  • Constantly monitoring quality, helping engineers investigate and prevent issues. Creating and executing test plans, test cases, and automated tests to ensure product quality

What We’re Looking For

  • An ambitious QA engineer with abundant hands-on experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright. You must be a strong automation engineer first – capable of understanding, evaluating, and refining AI-generated code
  • Proficiency in AI-assisted development and prompt engineering – you know how to effectively use AI coding tools to accelerate your work while applying critical judgment to validate outputs
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions, including how to configure, optimize, and troubleshoot automated test execution
  • An asynchronous worker who organizes and documents their work clearly
  • A clean coder who writes well-structured and maintainable code

What We Offer Our Permanent Employees

  • Competitive compensation and pre-IPO equity – we like to give our team members ownership with our stock package. When TheyDo succeeds, we all succeed!
  • Fully remote working with flexible hours – we’re staunch advocates for autonomy and flexibility.
