The world’s largest provider of engineered noise control products and solutions spanning over 70 years. This role will be office based in Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh, with travel within the UK and worldwide.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Lead all aspects of project delivery from initiation through completion and handover.
- Ensure scope, schedule, and budget targets are achieved.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communication & Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact between IAC teams and customers.
- Coordinate design, programme scheduling, logistics, delivery, off‑loading, installation, snagging, and commissioning activities.
- Liaise with trade contractors to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Documentation & Technical Submittals
- Prepare technical submittals, method statements, O&M manuals, and subcontract purchase specifications.
- Raise purchase requisitions and communicate effectively with IAC Manufacturing, Engineering, suppliers, and clients.
- Ensure all documentation meets company and customer requirements.
- Financial Management
- Manage project finances to maximise profitability and maintain positive cash‑flow.
- Prepare applications for payment, invoices, cost reports, and cost‑to‑complete forecasts.
- Oversee supply chain purchase orders, authorise payments, and review monthly financial performance.
- Finalise customer accounts and supply chain settlements.
- Compliance & Systems Management
- Adhere to IAC processes, procedures, and customer contractual commitments.
- Keep internal systems (including Phoenix handover pages, budgets, and close‑out documentation) accurate and up‑to‑date.
- Promote best practices in safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven project management experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, construction, acoustics, or a similar technical environment.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and manage delivery independently or collaboratively.
- Strong communication, organisational, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in cost control and forecasting.
- Understanding of project delivery methodologies and technical requirements.
- Customer‑focused mindset with strong commercial awareness.
- Experience working within multi‑supplier/contractor environments.
- Strong understanding of risk, contract terms, and project governance.
- Analytical thinking and effective problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
Desirable
- Engineering HNC or equivalent technical qualification.
- Recognised construction safety training and/or qualifications.
- Professional project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
- Manufacturing experience within a sheet‑metal environment preferred.
