Job Description:
£40,000 – £50,000 DOE | Company vehicle and tools | Clear progression
Field-based role covering Yorkshire and the surrounding region. Home/van-based with occasional visits to the Leeds depot.
You’ll be the go-to technical specialist for a well-established employer in the drives and power electronics space, installing, commissioning, maintaining, and fault-finding ABB variable speed drives across industrial and commercial sites.
What you’ll be doing
- Installing and commissioning VSD inverters on customer sites
- Planned and reactive maintenance across the region
- Fault diagnosis under time pressure
- Remote support: programming, parameters, performance optimisation
- Service reports and job records
What you need
- Electrical engineering qualification (degree, HNC or HND)
- Hands-on experience with inverters or drives. ABB ideal, Siemens/Schneider/Danfoss considered
- Able to read schematics and fault-find methodically
- Full UK driving licence
- 18th Edition or CompEx desirable
