Refrigeration Service & Installation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Service, preventative and reactive maintenance of farm milk cooling systems across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire & North Wales.
• Respond to tank breakdowns within service level agreements; diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, electronic and refrigeration faults in bulk milk tanks and ice builders.
• Installation of bulk milk tanks (1,000 L to 40,000 L capacity), ice builders (70 kW to 300 kW), heat recovery units, plate coolers, water heaters & condensing units.
• Ensure farms meet relevant F Gas regulations and produce F Gas certificates.

Qualifications

• Electrical: test components from 0 V to 415 V, trace faults through panels, programme controllers, diagnose & replace faulty parts, motors etc.; wire communication cables.
• Refrigeration/Mechanical: installation experience with milk cooling & related equipment, brazing, soldering, plumbing joints; fault finding & replacement of parts in a safe manner; F Gas qualified.
• Plumbing: fitting of cylinders, water pumps and IBC water tanks.
