Overview

Contracts Manager, within the Contracts Team, part of the Contracts, Income & Costing function Team in Corporate Finance at MFT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Contracts in ensuring MFT Clinical Group services and corporate departments understand the organisation’s contractual obligations.
  • Line‑manage the Contracts Team, ensuring day‑day tasks are completed effectively and on time.
  • Support Hospital services in ensuring relevant service level agreement documentation is in place for Provider‑Provider (Trust to Trust) services and Independent Sector provider sub‑contracts.
  • Assist Overseas Administrators with implementing MFT’s “Overseas visitors who access NHS Care” policy in line with the Department of Health’s NHS Cost recovery guidance.
  • Support the Trust with commissioner contract requirements, including individual funding requests under the Effective use of resources – EUR/PLCV policies, non‑contracted activity invoicing to the Devolved Administrations, and invoicing of laboratory and imaging provider‑to‑provider services.
  • Work as a forward‑thinking team player in the ever‑changing NHS Contracts and Commissioning environment, making a positive and supportive contribution to the Team.
  • Prioritise a varied workload to meet strict deadlines, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with staff across disciplines, both internally and externally, working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
