Compliance Analyst

Salary Up To £60,000pa + Benefits (Depending on Experience)

Our client, an elite US law firm, is actively recruiting for a bright and enthusiastic legal compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their London office – working as their new Compliance Analyst.

The Compliance Team is responsible for providing risk, regulatory and legal advice/support to the London office – managing new client and business acceptance, alongside general compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Conducting sanctions checks and maintaining sanctions databases
• Developing and maintaining an understanding of the firm’s AML and sanctions policies/procedures
• Drafting analysis for Fee-Earners and the MLRO
• Assisting with high-risk, ongoing matters
• Monitoring AML checks and ensuring they’re completed
• Assisting with lateral hire clearances
• Liaising with their US office for conflicts related queries
• Assisting with the management of the team inbox and workflow

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience working in an AML focused role (or as a mixed role) from a top US or international law firm (essential)
• Some Legal Conflicts experience is desirable, not essential
• Be educated to degree level, or have a compliance qualification
• Be able to commute to the London office 4 days a week (essential)
