Apply for the Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (C#/.NET, React)
Location: Cambridge
Job Description:

Gearset is the leading DevOps platform for Salesforce, enabling users to build and manage many aspects of their Salesforce development from within Gearset, including complex CI/CD pipelines and disaster recovery. The platform is a standalone tool that integrates via public APIs; while our engineering team does not develop within the Salesforce environment, we work closely with domain experts to build solutions that help users change Salesforce quickly and safely.

Opportunities

  • You’ll impact what we build and how we build it, influencing small to large engineering teams that evolve over time.
  • You’ll work directly with customers and partners, ensuring solutions address the most pressing problems.
  • You’ll familiarize yourself with our stack (C#, React, TypeScript, Postgres, AWS, Kubernetes) and help define what great looks like.

What you’ll achieve

  • Enhance and expand our platform, collaborating with the development team to design and build new features end‑to‑end.
  • Share your expertise and learn from a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous growth.
  • Engage directly with users—understanding their challenges, gathering feedback, and shaping features that truly make a difference.
  • Play a key role in shaping development best practices, driving technical excellence, and influencing the future of our product and roadmap.

About you

  • A pragmatic approach prioritising iteration and delivering value over process.
  • Previous experience as a full‑stack engineer, including work directly with customers.
  • A passion for learning and continual improvement, comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Comfortable with reacting to meet user needs in an agile development environment.

Great to haves

  • Familiarity with C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
  • Expertise with an OOP language (e.g., Java, C++) and a modern JS framework (e.g., Angular, Vue.js).
  • Proficiency in working on a distributed, cloud‑hosted product with rapid release cycles.
  • Experience delivering incremental slices in an agile team.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary £59k – £78k, commensurate with experience.
  • Based in Cambridge with flexibility to work from home.
  • Opportunity to join our Long Term Incentive scheme.
  • Generous personal development budget up to £1,500 per year.
  • Top‑end hardware provided.
  • Free lunch in the office.
  • BUPA health care.
  • Life insurance & critical illness cover.
  • Discounted gym membership and a range of health and wellness benefits.

We value diverse teams

If your experience doesn’t fit perfectly or you don’t meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway.
