External Sales Engineer

Job Title: External Sales Engineer

Salary: £45,000 – £47,000 + company car

Branch: Edinburgh

Hours of work: 8:00am – 5:00pm

We carry out Sales, Installation, Maintenance and reactive works.

We work with Scottish water and FM businesses such as OCS / FES – ISS, Mitie, ECG, Robertson FM, Equans and all the main players.

We work in hospitals, care homes, schools’ offices, Farms, Zoos and so on

We work on all areas of HVAC pumping equipment and Cold-water booster sets, pressurisation units and vessels, sewage stations and pumps, submersible pumps.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for sales of products and engineering services (PPM, Repair, Installation etc.)
• Primary point of contact within the customer base
• Identify and develop new customers
• Responsible for developing customer relationships
• Ability to network within the customer base
• Generating enquiries and following them to completion
• Work close with Internal sales team and be willing to help assist with quotes when required
• Understand the customers needs and be able to identify the correct solution
• Understand the current Market place
• Can work to KPIs set by the business
• Must be willing to travel if required
• A willingness to learn and develop

Skills & Requirements:

• Good communication skills
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Good numeracy skills
• 2 years B/B Sales track record
• Preferably to have Pumps/HVAC Background
• Computer literate in various Microsoft packages and company operated systems
• Self-driven and focused individual with the ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Proactive/problem solver
• Capable of multitasking
