Security Officer

• 42 hours per week
• 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off
• 04:45am till 4.45pm
• £12.74 per hour

Job Introduction

Join our team as a Security Guard with Sodexo and take pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment, upholding high standards of vigilance, and supporting smooth operations across the site!

What you’ll do:

• Maintain full adherence to SIA licence requirements at all times
• Learn, sign off, and follow all security Assignment Instructions
• Provide a professional first point of contact for all Gatehouse visitors
• Control site access and egress, ensuring only authorised visitors are permitted entry
• Manage vans and HGV deliveries in line with site procedures
• Monitor CCTV and alarms, responding appropriately as instructed
• Communicate clearly and professionally via email, radio, and telephone

What you bring:

• Valid SIA Licence (essential)
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Previous gatehouse or security experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and professional approach to visitors and staff
• Good awareness of health & safety and site security procedures
• Reliable, vigilant, and able to work independently or as part of a team
