STEAM Programme Officer

About Camden Learning: Launched in 2017, Camden Learning is a schools-led partnership between Camden schools and Camden Council. The STEAM Programme Officer will support delivery of Camden’s pioneering STEAM programme, working closely with schools, employers and partners to create high-quality career and work experience opportunities for young people across the borough. The role focuses on supporting the Camden STEAM Work Experience Programme (6‑11 July 2026) and coordinating key STEAM events and employer engagement activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Coordination – support planning and delivery of the Camden STEAM Work Experience Programme, ensuring placements, documentation and logistics are managed.
- Event Planning and Delivery – coordinate borough-wide events such as Primary Careers Day, T Level celebration event and other STEAM activities, handling venue arrangements, schedules and materials.
- Employer Engagement Support – maintain and expand the network of STEAM Pledge partners, research potential new employer partners and support engagement activities.
- Data Management and Programme Administration – update partner and programme records, maintain databases and spreadsheets, support monitoring and impact reporting.
- Working Relationships – collaborate with the Head of STEAM, School and Employer Partnership Managers, Camden Learning and council colleagues, as well as external partners.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Strong organisational and administrative skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating projects, programmes or events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new IT systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; good standard of English and Maths.
Desirable
- Experience working with young people in educational, youth work or community settings.
- Knowledge of careers education, work experience or skills programmes.
