Trade Compliance / Export Coordinator – BAE Systems – Contract (12 Months)

Rochester (4 days on-site – WFH Friday)

£25.05 PAYE / £33.61 Umbrella

I’m currently recruiting for a Trade Compliance / Export Coordinator to join BAE Systems on a 12-month contract based in Rochester.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regulated, secure environment, supporting the movement of controlled goods and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support import/export activities in line with UK and international trade regulations
• Prepare and review export documentation (invoices, declarations, shipping paperwork)
• Assist with customs compliance, including tariff codes and shipment processing
• Work closely with internal teams, freight forwarders, and external suppliers
• Ensure adherence to export control regulations and internal compliance procedures

Key Requirements:

• Experience in import/export, trade compliance, or logistics coordination
• Knowledge of customs processes, export documentation, and international shipping
• Understanding of Incoterms and cross-border shipments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a compliance-driven environment
• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, defence, or regulated industries is beneficial
