A rapidly scaling technology business is seeking a highly capable Head of Finance / Financial Controller to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations while supporting the next phase of international growth. With significant new contracts secured and investment flowing in, the company is projecting revenues of £10m this year and £30m next year, making this a pivotal hire.
You’ll lead a finance function of c.100 people, ensuring the operation is robust, forward-looking, and capable of supporting a business expanding across the UK, US, and other overseas markets.
The Role
- Take full responsibility for all day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy, control, and high-quality reporting.
- Deliver approximately 30% ad-hoc and project-based work, supporting strategic initiatives and rapid growth.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to guide commercial decision-making as the business scales.
- Strengthen processes, systems, and controls in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Support global expansion, particularly into the US, ensuring finance is fit for international scale.
- Lead, mentor, and energise a sizeable finance team.
About You
- Strong background from Big 4 or mid-tier training, with progression into commercial or operational finance roles.
- Experience working in a scale-up, ideally within the tech, hardware, software, or consulting sectors.
- Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to zoom out and bring intellectual rigour to complex situations.
- Driven, proactive, and comfortable with both structure and the ambiguity of a high-growth environment.
- Confident communicator with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders.
- International exposure is a significant advantage.
