HYGIENE CONTRACT MANAGER
Location: Carlisle
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £50,000
Shift Pattern: The site operates 24/7; flexibility is required in line with production schedules
Role Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and motivate the on‑site hygiene team to deliver consistent, high‑quality cleaning and hygiene services within a food production environment
- Maintain, review and audit all operational documentation, including cleaning schedules, risk assessments, instruction cards and training records
- Ensure full compliance with food safety legislation, BRC standards, health & safety requirements and Mitie procedures
- Oversee training, development and performance of hygiene operatives and supervisors, ensuring all training requirements are met
- Manage labour hours, budgets, resources and company assets to ensure effective and efficient contract delivery
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience working within a food manufacturing, food hygiene or FMCG environment
- Demonstrable experience managing large, high‑volume cleaning or hygiene teams
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene compliance
