Location: London (Hybrid – approx. 3 days in the office / 2 days at home)

An established and highly respected not‑for‑profit organisation is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to play a key role in driving financial strategy, sustainability, and performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional with strong FP&A experience to join a purpose‑led organisation and contribute to meaningful, mission‑driven work.

The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, you will lead on financial planning, analysis, and business partnering across the organisation. You will provide strategic insight to support decision‑making while ensuring robust financial controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the annual budgeting process and ongoing reforecasting cycles
  • Delivering high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Developing financial models to support strategic initiatives and decision‑making
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide insight, challenge, and support
  • Strengthening financial controls, processes, and compliance (including charity regulations)
  • Supporting audit processes and statutory reporting
  • Assisting with cash‑flow forecasting and treasury oversight
  • Leading and developing a small finance team
  • Driving finance training and improving financial literacy across the organisation

About You

You will be a commercially minded and analytically strong finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment.

  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis
  • Background in not‑for‑profit, public sector, or similarly complex organisations
  • Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Experience managing or mentoring staff
  • Knowledge of charity accounting (e.g. SORP, fund accounting)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central) and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Exposure to healthcare or mission‑led organisations
