About the Company: Brook Street Social Care, in proud partnership with a respected children’s residential care provider in Manchester, is recruiting for experienced and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join their compassionate and expanding team.
About the Role: As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with EBD needs in a safe, children centred and structured environment. You will offer support with a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.
Responsibilities:
- Support young people in care with day to day duties and independence.
- Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met.
- Support the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Ideally or happy to work towards.
- Previous experience within a similar setting – either young people in care or family support.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for making a difference in young people’s lives.
- Ability to work flexibly, including nights, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
- Driver with access to own car.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience within a similar setting.
Pay range and compensation package: Salary: £25,272 – £33,696 per annum, plus £52 per sleep.
