A leading MEP Consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead project delivery within their Bristol office. The Role
- System Design: Lead the design of complex HVAC systems, plant room layouts, LTHW heating, chilled water systems, and public health services.
- Sustainability Focus: Provide technical advice on renewable energy integration and perform qualitative analysis of energy data and trends.
- Project Management: Oversee project specific deliverables and ensure design Quality Assurance (Q&A) in accordance with BSRIA and CIBSE guidelines.
- Technical Oversight: Undertake site surveys, evaluate tender documentation, and inspect building works for compliance with current regulations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with electrical leads and design partners to provide fully integrated MEP solutions.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Building Services design.
- Affiliation: Member of CIBSE (Chartered or actively working towards status).
- Technical Skills: Fully conversant in AutoCAD/BIM and mechanical calculation software (such as IES, Cymap, or Hevacomp).
- Commercial Savvy: Deep understanding of NEC/JCT contracts and the commercial impact of engineering design.
- Requirements: Professional, proactive, and capable of managing multiple project demands simultaneously.
