Long-term opportunity to shape and evolve a premium events function

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Head of Events to join a highly regarded, private, and multi-faceted London venue with an established events business and significant growth potential.

This role is responsible for driving event sales, shaping commercial strategy, and leading a well‑established sales and planning team within a complex, high‑demands environment.

The opportunity

You will take ownership for proactive sales and planning of a diverse events portfolio spanning:

  • Exclusive private and member‑led events
  • Multi‑day conferences
  • High‑value weddings

Working closely with senior stakeholders across F&B, operations, and membership, you will be instrumental in maximising revenue from all event spaces, refining strategy and enhancing overall event positioning.

The role

  • Lead the proactive sales and planning function for all events
  • Develop and execute a targeted commercial strategy to drive higher spend and repeat business
  • Build and leverage existing client relationships and networks
  • Act as a senior point of contact for VIP clients and key stakeholders
  • Coach, develop, and elevate an experienced but under‑utilised team
  • Drive performance through clear KPIs, reporting, and conversion metrics
  • Influence internal culture and promote a more proactive, commercial mindset

The candidate

  • Proven leadership experience within luxury events, hospitality, or private environments
  • A strong network of clients and industry contacts
  • A commercially driven mindset with a track record of winning high‑value business
  • A natural leader – credible, engaging, and able to influence at all levels
  • Comfortable operating in a complex, stakeholder‑heavy environment
  • Strategic in approach, but hands‑on
