Assistant General Manager – Hotel, Argyll & Bute, Scotland, £40k + tronc, live in accommodation
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Assistant General Manager to join this stunning luxury hotel. Set in the idyllic remote Scottish Highlands, this tranquil boutique hotel features a spa and rosette restaurant as well as catering for weddings, events and private functions.
What you will be doing:
- Working alongside management in supporting/running of properties
- Covering long-term absences as well as staff shortages
- Taking responsibilities for management of staff
- Involved in training and development
- Hands on in all areas including day-to-day operations
- Liaising with guests and ensuring guest satisfaction is more than exceeded
What we were looking for:
- An enthusiastic Deputy General Manager or Junior/Assistant Operations Manager with a proven work history
- Experience and working knowledge within a 5* or (minimum) 4* hotel
- Attention to detail with exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to resolve any issues in a logical and practical manner
- Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and reasonable
- Hands on in all areas and able to jump in where needed
- Happy to be located in a remote area
