About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to take a pivotal role in the coordination, management, and delivery of King’s Better Health & Care Futures (BHCF) programme.
You will lead the overall coordination and management of BHCF’s core activities and programmes, acting as the primary point of contact for queries and liaising with a wide range of individuals and organisations. Supporting the Director and the Leadership and Delivery teams, you will ensure the seamless operation of BHCF, facilitate the winning and delivery of research projects and academic programmes, establish effective communication and networks, and monitor, evaluate and contribute to reporting activity.
Engaging in strategic planning and day‑to‑day decision making, you will implement robust organisational and administrative processes, and support financial and administrative management of BHCF’s research projects and academic programmes to support its growth and success.
Job type: full time, 35 hours per week. Fixed‑term contract (maternity cover) until 16 July 2027 or until the substantive postholder returns.
Location: Hybrid – minimum of 2 days per week on campus (Waterloo & Denmark Hill).

Essential criteria
- Degree, HND, NVQ 4 qualified or equivalent in a relevant subject, plus relevant experience in similar or related roles.
- Strong numeracy skills, able to check financial data and prepare and respond appropriately.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint (or equivalent).
- Experience and skills in project coordination, administration and project management.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and email, including managing large reports and verbal, in‑person and written communication with different stakeholders.
- Well organised, with a high degree of accuracy, written and numerate, and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands to ensure projects are managed efficiently.
- Ability to use initiative, judgement and creativity to solve problems using defined guidelines and procedures and within budget.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in university, health or charity sector.

- Proven ability to accurately plan timelines to meet production and application deadlines.
- Honed acumen, experience or understanding of one or more of key areas of the role, e.g. centre development, coordination, financial management, etc.
