Registered Nurse / Recovery Department Practitioner
We are currently searching for a registered nurse or recovery department practitioner to join our experienced team for day and night rotation to ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility, and to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring the delivery of the highest standard of care to the patients.
Responsibilities
- Monitor acutely ill patients (adults and children) following surgery, with conditions varying from routine post‑operative level to high dependency level.
- Ensure an individual programme of care is planned, implemented, and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility.
- Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure delivery of a high standard of care to patients.
- Act as team leader, taking charge of Recovery in the absence of the Recovery Managers/Deputy Recovery Manager.
- Participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process.
- Support the whole critical care directorate as required.
- Adhere to the NMC code of Professional Conduct at all times and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Qualified, experienced registered nurse (RN) or recovery department practitioner (ODP).
- Preferably with experience within an acute setting, although this is not essential.
- Committed to meeting the NMC code of Professional Conduct and hospital policies.
