Senior Development Officer – Overview

The Senior Development Officer will assist the Director/Senior Head of Development to ensure the Association builds houses to the highest possible standard whilst ensuring value for money.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director/Senior Head of Development in managing development projects to deliver high‑standard, value‑for‑money homes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, economic appraisals, project applications and oversee audit compliance programmes.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, cost forecasts and spreadsheets.
  • Read and interpret drawings, appraise and comment on design proposals.
  • Maintain effective communication and presentation of developments to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience as a key development person in a Housing Association, NIHE, local authority, HSC Trust, developer or similar.
  • OR 5 years’ relevant experience in development, can also meet the above requirements.
  • Project management experience with the ability to meet targets and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer literate with experience of spreadsheets, budgets and cost forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Current full driving licence and access to suitable transport; waived if disability prohibits driving.
