Qualifications / Experience

Essential criteria

  • Must be educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience
  • Demonstrable experience working in the admin and clerical field
  • Experience of working within governance frameworks

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working within the NHS or similar organisation or environment
  • Experience of working in an Information Governance role
  • Experience in the development and monitoring of the effective administration systems and processes for the investigation / completion of Incidents, Risks, Incidents, Claims, Inquests, Freedom of Information and Complaints.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Previous experience of supervising / managing a team providing guidance, coaching, support and performance management where appropriate
  • Experience of completing staff appraisal and regular line management
  • Sound knowledge of IG protocols used within the Trust
  • Knowledge of national and trust policies and guidance relating to patient safety and clinical governance.

Desirable criteria

  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams to store, monitor, retrieve and carry out document control on behalf of team members
  • Working Knowledge of the InPhase System

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria

  • Excellent verbal and written skills (with the ability to train and deliver presentations, and the ability to write clear, concise reports)
  • Good organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to problem solve and use initiative to complete tasks

Desirable criteria

  • Working knowledge of all Trust systems and IT systems
