Your Role and Responsibilities
You will undertake the day‑to‑day management of the administrative staff within the Business Support team, working closely with the wider Corporate Parenting Service, the Heads of Service and individual team managers. You will receive management supervision and access to in‑house training to support you in your role.
As a confident communicator and strong team player, you will manage staff in a busy, fast‑paced environment, ensuring recruitment, training, performance reviews and staff development. You will maintain effective communication, advice on procedures and handle people issues. You’ll proactively review and improve current procedures, prioritise work, and support key business areas such as Data Protection, Business Continuity, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Recruitment and Finance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant experience managing staff in a busy, fast‑paced environment, including recruitment, training, performance reviews and personal development.
- Strong communication skills, able to provide advice and guidance and deal effectively with people issues.
- Experience reviewing and improving administrative procedures.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise own work and others to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Data Protection, Business Continuity, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Recruitment and Finance.
